Christmas Intrigue

Christian was so excited about Christmas this year - I mean EXCITED! He totally understands everything about recieving gift. Preston was a little apprehensive, as you can see.

Here is Christian decorating the Gingerbread house. Candy, frosting, messy, this kid was in the zone.
Here we go - Christmas Eve. Mom can't wait for Christmas to be over because she has heard "can we open presents" a million times everyday for a month.

Christmas morning.

What did Santa bring? The road. We tried to explain that its called a racetrack.Preston recieved a lot of baby essentials; stage 2 baby food, Motrin for teething, doggy movie. But he was mostly intrigued with just his orange.

Christmas this year was fun because Christian "totally gets it". We got all the important information in:

Baby Jesus

Mary

Joseph (he call him Sheriff - close enough)

Gingerbread houses

Stockings

Christmas tree

Twinkle lights
Gift giving

Santa the Claus

Reindeer

Santa Claus coming down the chimney while he is sleeping quietly in his bed - WHAT!?!?

Instant distress....who is breaking into my house while I sleep? Very unsure, Christian has kept a close eye on the chimney and any unexpected guest there from.

Santa brought Mom and Dad a Wii. We have been snowboarding ever since. Mom's legs are sore, Dad is breaking all of her records, and Christian continues to call it "sko-boarding".

As a Mother, I am now appreciative of the fact that Christmas comes only once a year.

I agree with you. I don't know what I would do if Christmas had to happen more than once a year, I would die. Looks like Christian had a blast. I love the age like Preston when it doesn't matter what you give them, they are happy with whatever!

what did you get for Christmas Christian? "A road". hmmm, sounds nice. LOL. that's so cute. And Nash was also more excited about his orange than most toys. He bit into it the minute it came out of the stocking. Love the first pic of the boys. (especially Preston's sweater)

I like the boys pajamas, including Jeffs. Next year his question will be how does he fit down the chimney :) I can just see him thinking. We'll have to get together soon and snowboard.

Tell Christian that Mommy is ready to kick any intruder's butt (besides Santa)...remember when you were ready to strangle whoever broke into your house before?! Looks like a great Christmas!!

Love the pics. Glad the boys had a good Christmas. I love that Christian was wondering about a stranger down his chimney- we were at my parents and they don't have one so they told the boys that Santa has a key and he just comes through the door- did it bother them- NOPE, went right to bed. Love the jammies- Gymboree????

Santa left Motrin for Preston? He is getting pretty practical in his old age.

Kat! How creepy is the idea of Christmas? I bet you don't realize how incredibly insane it is till you have to explain the traditions and stories of Santa to a child. The chimney thing is disturbing, and elves. Sometimes I think the people and societies that created holidays and religion had a HUGE thing for opium. The only legit holiday's are July 4th and Martin Luther King Day. Oh and remind Christian of his aunt Chelsea everyday...and that I'm not actually a four year old, but we can still play.
