Everyone needs a little "Time Out"

I don't like spanking or yelling or other hysterics so I use the "time out" method for disciplining. Lately Christian has taken up new residency on the bottom step known as "time out".
He may even spend most of his day there.

As I become a more seasoned mother, I now understand the naughty step isn't really teaching him anything....it is just keeping him safe from his mother. "Time out" gives Mom a chance to breath and feel as if she is the one in control. We all know who really is in control here now don't we. So I suggest we all take a little "time out" for ourselves.

Now that's what I'm talking about!

Beckham spends a lot of time on the very same spot- the bottom of the stairs. Some days I wonder why I even try; but you're right, at least it calms me down!

I often wish I could have a time out! What a great picture of you and your boys!

there is nothing like a good rest when your baby keeps you so very busy!

Amen! Some days more time is spent on than off the naughty seat in our house! However, Evie thinks it is hilarious to plop herself down next to her sister.

So cute! I love those boys! I'm not sure if Jeff told you but we are coming down this weekend. Are you guys going to the dance festival? We'd love to see you guys and the boys! We'll for sure be seeing you on Sunday for Preston's blessing though! love you!

Isabel has gotten to that stage where she is definitely learning to mimick what I do (whether it is me thinking I am venting to MYSELF or being a little too angry even from afar), so I think I should start enlisting the timeout method, as well.

And I LOVE that last picture!!!

hahaha I go back and forth between time out and knock out. I agree time out is mostly for me to calm down and hopefully I do because knock out is usually what I'm feeling. Whats sad is when I go crazy now Isaac always asks if I've taken my pills...hahaha At least I know I'm crazy!!! I hope you get here soon I can't wait to see the boys...and you of course!!!

Christian puts himself in that "time-out" position in Nursery when it's time to put the toys away. You just want to hold him, but he lets you know to keep your hands off! I miss him.
