Bucket List

Jeff and I recently watched the movie Bucket List with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. The trailer made it out to be a comedy, and it was funny, but it was more of a "feel-er". Maybe I am just emotional from having a baby, but it was really touching. It made me think about what really matters, what I want to do before I leave this world, and what kind of quality of life am I living.
In the movie Morgan Freeman explains that the ancient Egyptians believed that when you die the Gods ask you two questions and the answers determine if you are admitted into heaven. The first question is, "Have you found joy in your life"? And the second question is "Has your life brought joy to others"?
I've made a few Bucket Lists in my life and they range from daring feats to silly adventures. But in the long run I hope I can confidently answer yes to both questions. It makes me think that maybe I need to rethink my Bucket list and make sure that I am serving, loving, and bringing joy to others too.
So here are just a few from my Bucket list:
*See Machu Picchu
*Sky Dive
*Climb Kilimanjaro
*Serve another mission with my sweetheart
*Buy a Villa in Italy
*Run the NYC Marathon
*See my boys serve missions and marry in the temple
*Write a book
*Open my own Salon
*Visit all the LDS Church historical sites and temples
*Show love to those I love the most
Now that I've got you thinking, What is on your Bucket List?

Great post. Those are great goals and I think if anyone could do them...it is you. You have always shown great love and spirit, and a desire to be where the Lord wants you to be doing what you should. I know you inspire many around you to be better, and you have done it once again!

bucket list? Somehow win some contest that gives me coke free for life! Now THAT would be heaven!

Beyond that - and really, let's be honest - NOTHING could be as good as that, but I'd say a trip with Ryan and the boys to Europe, learn to speak French, and learn how to leave the dishes and mess more often to just sit with my sweethearts.

P.S. I have a crush on Jack Nicholson. So old, but so hot!
