Last night, while meeting someone for the first time, I was told,
"You LOOK like a Utah girl".
Me: confused
What exactly does that mean? I guess I've lived in Cali for 6 years now and haven't been able to WASH the Utah off me.
I mean I've heard it all "Utah Mormon" and "country girl". Once someone told me I was "organic" and another time "homespun", but LOOK like a Utah girl?
It sounded like an insult.
Guess you can take a girl outta Utah, but can't take Utah outta the girl.

You know what's funny? When I moved to Texas I often got the comment from people that they "could tell I was from back east." Wierd. I had just moved here from Michigan. I have always wondered what an easterner was like, and how I was like that. I think of cold and unfriendly...aak! I certainly don't think that fits the bill, but who knows!
So last night I was on your blog searching forever for the picture you took of your tree wall in the nursery for an idea for a bridal shower and saw quite a few posts I hadn't seen before! So fun to read! For some reason your blog updates come through in a very unreliable and slow way to my blog.
Hope you are having a great time with your boys. Aren't you so hungry for summer?! All the warm days and cool breezes..ahhh.
Huh?
I would hate her, huh?
It could of been worse. They could of said you look like a Polygimist.
hmmm, utah girl? not sure if i see it. When I moved to VA in the middle of February in high school...the friends I met wondered where my tan was. Doesn't everyone in CA have a tan? LOL. in February? lol
Where you wearing your high school student body officer jacket by chance? Just kidding.
I'm with Dee. I bet we'd hate her.
Let's be honest... I've been called worst... by Utah girls too Ba ha ha. Utah girl, huh? That can mean so many things. Could mean you appear to be clean, Mormon, and look like a push over. These are typical Utah girl stereotypes. All three very deceiving things for someone to think about you. I mean we all know you have a filthy mouth and aren't a push over. So pretty much they are saying you are Mormon. Which you are, and proud of from what I gather. At least you aren't asked at family dinner if you have same sex sex. Count your many blessings, name them one by one. LOL Miss you Sis. We need to chat. I can't take my dancing shoes off.
Okay - just to clear things up....I was called a "Utah Girl" by a guy, not a girl.
by a guy? that just means he thought you were hot and could tell you were mormon. :)
you definitely don't look like a utah girl! now, maybe flds???
