This Summer's Top Ten

I love SUMMER! I have had many good summer's in my life; Summer in my apartment in SLC with the girls, Summer at Lake Powell with my best High School cronies, Summer reunion at Lake Powell 5 years later with our spouses, the Summer I fell in love with Jeff, and I've even spent 3 summers of my life in Rome.

I was watching the news this morning and they played "Summertime" by Will Smith. Classic. Then I found this great picture of Jeff and I kissing in the summer sunset. I read a quote a few days ago by Henry James:

"Summer afternoon-

Summer afternoon;

to me those have always been

the two most beautiful words

in the English language."

So all this got me to thinking about my Top Ten reasons that Summer '08 will top my chart of great summers.

1. Our first summer with Baby Preston.

2. The release of Viva La Vida by Coldplay.

3. Mama Mia- soon to be in theatres.

4. Breaking Dawn coming in August the final book of the Twilight series.

5. I can run again! Begin training for a spring triathlon.

6. 4th of July at Huntington Beach.

7. 8-8-08 Summer Olympics. And the introduction of the official Coke bottle for the Olympics.

8. Cherry and Coke Slurpees at 7 eleven.

9. Girl's camp in August. I love all the YW in my stake and look forward to all the Girl's Camp shenanigans.


10. Not being prego. Did I ever mention how I hate being pregnant?
